The CompanyMagnetic Storm Schools Project
The Magnetic Storm Schools Project was established to assist schools in the metro with their theatrical and musical productions. We developed the project after recognising that local schools face many difficulties in the staging of productions.
The Schools Project is focussed on all senior and primary schools in the Nelson Mandela Metro. The aim of the project is to assist in the uplifting of school productions and the development of new talent, giving technical aid to schools that are often faced with incredible budget constraints. This is done through the free hire of a select pool of sound equipment, special rates on lighting, as well giving advice on all technical aspects of staging for schools wishing to stage their own theatrical or musical productions.
The School’s Project has played a fundamental role in helping stage shows for schools like Pearson High,
Through the Schools Project, we are also able to encourage and mentor students to get involved in the technical aspects of a production, and where possible, offer to help train students to operate the sound and lighting equipment for their own shows. By so doing, we are able to introduce them to possible future careers in technical theatre, the sound and music industry, as well as our own line of business in conferences and corporate events.
