PE Gilbert & Sullivan Society brings you Disney's High School Musical

Disney's High School Musical

High School Musical has taken the world by storm and has finally made its way to PE through the Port Elizabeth Gilbert and Sullivan Society. The classic teenage love story set against the age old school yard conflicts between the basketball jocks, the science club brainiacs and the drama club divas at East High is brought to life by a multi-award winning creative team headed by Robin Williams as Director. .

The hot, young, local cast stars Jason Humm as Troy Bolton and Tiffany Oosthuizen as Gabriella Montez. Tiffany makes her G&S debut as the sweet and super intelligent Gabriella whilst Jason is well known to audiences after his roles in Showtime and My Fair Lady.

Behind the scene are Garth Tavares as Musical Director and Candice Johnstone choreographs the energetic dance sequences. David Whitehouse makes a welcome return from Johannesberg to create the Lighting Design

Magnetic Storm have once again come onboard as the Technical sponsor for the production, making large portion of services and equipment available for the run of the show. Magnetic Storm believes that local productions such as this create an ideal platform to train, educate, share and enjoy the many aspects of the performing arts, growing the theatre culture in our own city and bringing music, song and dance to the local community.

High School Musical opens Wednesday 28 July at the PE Opera House and runs until Saturday 14 August with performances nightly at 19h00 from Tuesday through to Saturday and matinees each Saturday at 14h00. Tickets are available from www.computicket.com or any Computicket branch at R120. Vouchers are available from all cast members at the discounted price of R100.
