Jason Kieck Fashion Show Extravaganza

Port Elizabeth fashion designer, Jason Kieck has been well known for raising funds for various charities in South Africa. This year, Jason Kieck Designs, Sandra Kieck and Angeline Mclagan from Isithembiso Babies Home worked very closely in putting together the Fashion Show Extravaganza which took place at The Feather Market Centre.

Jason Kieck has been hosting Fashion Shows in the Eastern Cape for many years and gives back to the community by selecting a charity as the beneficiary of each of these events, while showcasing his stunning designs to the public. These specialised fashion shows have a loyal following and tickets are usually sold out before the event is made public. Magnetic Storm was proud to be involved this time around as a co-sponsor of technical support in the form of sound, lighting and audio-visual services of more than R26 000.

In line with the meaning of Isithembiso or “Promise”, the Friday evenings table décor was themed on each table host’s idea of what promise means to them and to the community. The Saturday evening was a black tie event with former Miss SA Cindy Nel as the Presenter and a surprise showstopper gown at the end of the evening worn by Cindy made the evening memorable.

Clair Arthur from Kingfisher FM was the evening’s Presenter and with loads of lucky draw prizes up for grabs it was the perfect ladies night out. The show itself was separated into two parts, with the first featuring stylish evening gowns and the latter showcasing glamorous wedding gowns gliding down the runway. As every dress was custom made to fit each model to her measurements, the gowns looked undeniably breathtaking.

All sound, lighting and stage equipment was provided by Magnetic Storm as well as all technical support provided on both evenings. Equipment included Magnetic Storm’s JBL Line Array System as well as new MARTIN Mac 250 On Tour Intelligent Lighting for effects. LED lighting was also opted for over the normal 1kW Parcans.
