Emmanuel Haven Radio Station Installation

Emmanuel Haven is a Christian response to HIV / AIDS in Motherwell, Port Elizabeth. It is made up of a research unit, an anti-retroviral unit, orphans club, Christian outreach programme, a Wellness Centre which has a hydroponics project to grow vegetables for those community members affected and infected by HIV / AIDS.

New to the Emmanuel Haven list of facilities is the FM Radio Station, focusing on health and faith issues with its sights set on uplifting the community. The Boardwalk, together with Project Partners, is a key sponsor which facilitated getting the EHFM operation off the ground.

Magnetic Storm was asked to install the various components which make up a radio station, while at the same time keeping future expandability of the studio in mind.

Some of the equipment installed included:

• BCS25 On Air Studio Mixing Desk
• Professional CD player
• 4 channel Compressor/Limiter
• 1:4 Audio Distribution Amplifier
• RAG Light system and headphone amplifier system
• Control room playback monitors
• Amplifier for control room monitors
• Full duplex audio over IP link transceiver
• 3 x Studio PC’s
• On Air Radio Software
• 4 Channel Professional Sound Card
